Alkaline cleaners break down some fats and oils. There are two calculators here: one dilutes a strong cleaner, an industrial oven cleaner for instance, to the pH you want; the other mixes a degreaser from washing soda.
For washing soda it works out how much to weigh for the form you have (soda ash, monohydrate or soda crystals), estimates the pH of the bath and checks that it all stays dissolved at the coldest the bath will get.
