No torque wrench to hand? An ordinary spanner and a luggage scale will do. Hook the scale onto the spanner and the calculator tells you what it should read for the torque the service manual specifies.
It’s cheap, more accurate than you’d think, and no extension or crowfoot can throw it off the way it can throw off a torque wrench.
